What are the area's of concern when your are in love with a Filipina from the Philippines and I am American?
I met this girl online. She is outstandingly awesome! We have lots of things in common it seems and she is everything I've ever wanted from any girl anywhere in the world including my home here in California. We talk constantly and if she were here in the states, we'd already be dating, if not more. What I want to know is what are all of the issues concerning meeting a woman from the Philippines? Sometimes this just seems too good to be true, meeting a woman like this. Has anyone heard of scams involving women from the Philippines, or is there anything I need to take into consideration before I do something about this relationship? Thanks for your advice...

It is not as bad as all that. Most girls in the Philippines are very honest, loving, and caring women. They make wonderful wives. I know I have one of my own.
Yes they would like to meet a man to help their situation, but to tell the truth we all do that. Do you think you work your job because you like your boss. No way it pays the bills.
You will get a woman who will love you in the good times, and bad. Who will hold your hand when you are sad, laugh with you when you are happy, and will kiss your cheek when you cry.
First go there and meet her. See her at least 3 or four times. If it is love then it will wait a year or two. This will also allow you to get your home in order for her. She will want you to meet her family and I expect you will want to meet her family also.
Yes there are scams, if she starts asking for money then beware. If she tells you sad stories of how her father is in the hospital, her mother is sick, and her brothers were just in car accident, then watch out.
Maybe not because she might be a scammer, but her family has the worst luck you have ever seen and might want to avoid that. LOL
As far as being safe, use your brain and you will be OK. I am from NY City a long time ago, do you think I would walk around the Bronx at 3 am? NO way! I do that in cebu city and never feel afraid at all.
