Dating or Courting- What is God's way?
The girl I like isn't allowed to "date." Her parents say that she has to court. This got me thinking: What is God's way? The Bible says a lot about marriage but from what I've seen so far, it doesn't say much about dating. So, I want to know: which is better- dating or courting and why.
i heard of that before. i think that God just wants us to be happy, is all. and sometimes, we can't handle the responsibility of dating, and courting would be a better alternative. dating does have its challenges...it's very one-on-one, and there are physical pressures, and God plain wants what is going to be best for us in every situation. so if courting keeps this girl protected, then that's awesome. maybe her parents know that she wouldn't be able to handle the pressures of dating, so that's why they're pro-courting. maybe if you court her and prove that you aren't out for sex, then they'll trust you two enough to let you date.
